Noted Washington potter and resident of Borrego Springs, Lynn Dee is offering workshops this winter at the Borrego Art Institute's Pottery Studio at the Borrego Springs High School. Discover the thrill of taking pieces from the kiln and watching them change before your eyes. No previous clay experience necessary.
Thursday, March 10, 10am-1pm, learn a variety of hand building techniques and make as many fun pieces as you can.
Friday March 18, 10am-1pm, learn glaze techniques and apply the glazes and decoration special for the raku process for your bisque fired pieces.
Saturday March 19, 10am-completion, firing day! We will glaze, fire and smoke the pieces you made the week before. You will be able to take them home at the end of the workshop.
The fee is $120 for 3 classes & materials. Dress is casual and bring an apron to cover up, if you like.
